The soft, sunrise light at Jamie and Jordan’s Venice Canals engagement session made everything look extra romantic and dreamy. While Jamie grew up in Venice, this lovely couple now calls Dallas home, so the nearby canals were the perfect setting for both engagement photos and reminiscing over some of Jamie’s fun childhood memories (like her fourth birthday party where she got to feed the ducks swimming around the canals).
Jordan had planned on proposing at a hallmark Dallas location, but upon their arrival found it to be way too crowded with tourists and not at all the mood he had in mind for such a big moment. So he waited until they were back at their apartment, surrounded by friends, and it’s a good thing because one of them was able to capture pictures of the whole thing!
Their engagement session ended at Jamie’s childhood home where family dog Riley got in on the action. The landscaped yard was SO charming, just the kind of place you want to cozy up to and hang out for a while. A red door frame caught my eye and Jamie chimed in that her and Jordan’s apartment in Dallas also has a red door; they plan to make it a tradition in every home they have together. It’s clear to see how much family means to these two, and how excited they are to start their next chapter together.
