Arlington Garden Engagement Session: Christine & Jewels

November 24, 2016

Having met almost 10 years ago their freshman year at Syracuse University, Jewels and Christine have practically grown up together. After crossing paths several times in the dorm building where they both lived, they became inseparable — friends at first, and later turning into something more once they realized the feeling was mutual. This incredibly down-to-earth couple moved out to the west coast together, and earlier this year Christine proposed during a hike up to the Wisdom Tree at Cahuenga Peak. She planted a hand-written love letter to Jewels in one of the letter boxes at the foot of the tree, and when Jewels looked up at her, she got down on one knee to pop the question. The second I heard their story I knew it was one I did not want to miss the opportunity to tell!

The couple’s dog, Mochi, joined us for their Arlington Garden engagement session. I loved the eclectic mix of desert and Mediterranean plants, which provided so many interesting nooks at every turn.

Their April wedding at Madeline Garden Bistro falls just 1 day after their 10th anniversary! I know it will be an incredibly sweet and emotional day for these two and I am honored to get to document such an important day in their lives.
