From the beautiful garden at the front of their home ( which perfectly complimented Susie’s periwinkle dress), to the taco-truck catered dinner, Susie and Douglas’s backyard wedding was just the right balance of simplicity and beauty. With their children standing by their sides, they said their vows, and by the time they were done there was not a dry eye amongst the family and friends that surrounded them.
After the ceremony, Susie and Douglas went straight into their first dance to the tune of Rascal Flatt’s “Bless the Broken Road” ( cue: more tears). After the sun had set and the lights strung across the backyard were twinkling, Susie donned the most amazing silver-glitter sneakers and these two avid dancers danced the night away side-by-side.
If you couldn’t tell from the front of their house…Susie is a professional landscape designer. I could not get over all the gorgeous flowers!
