I love when we’re able to incorporate locations with personal significance into an engagement session! Rachel and Anthony’s engagement session was one sweet walk down memory lane, through the neighborhoods and landmarks of their first few dates.
We started out at Two Stone Gates, a landmark that was built in the 1920’s as the entrance to the Hollywoodland neighborhood. It’s a part of town they’ve taken many a stroll through, but it also marks the spot where Anthony “almost” asked Rachel to be his girlfriend.
As Rachel would learn later, his nerves got the best of him in the moment. But, at the soonest opportunity he got, Anthony checked his calendar, reconfirmed his hunch that he had in fact hung out with Rachel every weekend since they had met, and then didn’t waste one more second before asking her to be his girlfriend!
Then we were off to the Griffith Observatory!
When they first starting dating, Rachel and Anthony went hiking in Griffith Park. This was where they took their first photo together! I bet they never would have thought at the time that in the not too distant future they’d be taking engagement photos on the same Griffith Park trail!
Rachel wore a constellation necklace…perfect for this Griffith Park engagement session!
The way Anthony looks at her is just too darn sweet!
Rachel and Anthony soaked up the last moments before sunset enjoying the view overlooking LA.
Can’t wait to photograph their spring wedding at Center for the Arts Eagle Rock!
Not only was this a trip down memory lane for these two, but this took me right back to Sharon and Ryan’s Griffith Park engagement session!
