Sarah and Aaron’s Orange County engagement session took place at two stunning and equally iconic SoCal locations — Mission San Juan Capistrano and the beach!
These two live in Washington D.C., but Aaron grew up in SoCal and so he wanted to take advantage of the gorgeous scenery for engagement photos! After celebrating Aaron’s birthday in Vegas, they drove to SoCal to visit family and have their engagement session!
We started their engagement session at Mission San Juan Capistrano — a historic landmark and a stunning location for photos. Luckily, we had it mostly to ourselves too!
I love Mission San Juan Capistrano for portrait sessions because the variety of scenery it provides is unrivaled! With in it’s walls, you’ll find historic ruins, gorgeous gardens, and shaded corridors. It’s hard to top!

Since an Orange County engagement session wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the beach, that’s where we headed next! Sarah and Aaron met, dated, and got engaged all in Washington D.C., so the beach was a fun change of scenery from the city they call home.
Walking on uneven rocks is never as easy as it seems, but these two made it look graceful and fun!
