Abby and Jake’s intimate downtown LA wedding at Redbird LA was a meaningful, heartfelt affair for their closest family and friends. They both work in the fashion industry, so it’s no surprise their wedding was beautifully designed. Abby and Jake sported avant-garde attire, while beautiful flowers in muted blush and yellow tones made for a stylish event. Rachel, the talented florist behind The Black Rose, just happens to be the bride’s sister!
The couple met while in Las Vegas for a fashion trade show. They were staying at the same hotel, locked eyes at the hotel’s lobby bar, and that was it. In Yiddish they say it was “beshert”; meant to be.
Abby and Jake’s ceremony was as intimate as they come. Surrounded by just their immediate families, they signed their ketubah and then exchanged vows underneath a tallit chuppah held by their loved ones.
As a party favor, guests were given wildflower seeds in the form of plantable paper. “Let Love Grow,” read the favors — a fitting phrase for such an intimate garden wedding! The long farmhouse-style table in Redbird’s garden made for a gorgeous reception. Guests dined al fresco amidst the candlelit glow. Not only does the garden at Redbird LA make for a beautiful downtown LA wedding venue, but the restaurant’s food is superb! Guests enjoyed passed appetizers during cocktail hour, and the dinner menu included hamachi crudo with a blood orange ponzu sauce, and a burrata autumn salad.
Family and other loved ones toasted to the bride and groom. There was no shortage of love and laughter at this beautiful Redbird LA garden wedding.
