Angela and Russell’s Summit House wedding was a long anticipated event. They had originally planned on a big wedding at this SoCal steak house before the pandemic, but 2020 came and plans changed. After an intimate, oceanside ceremony in 2020, they finally celebrated with friends and family with a reception at Summit House in Fullerton, CA.
The outdoor tea ceremony was followed by dinner and dancing in the venue’s beautiful light-filled reception hall. Their pup Bailey even got to play a roll in the day partaking in photos and was an inspiration for the custom cookie favors. Guests enjoyed lawn games and paletas, and we had the most incredible sunset for portraits! After so many months of changing plans and planning, there was so much joy and celebration on this day of gathering together.
Angela’s gown from Allure Bridals featured a beautiful lace train!
For a more casual summer vibe, bridesmaids wore long floral printed dresses while groomsmen wore a mix of grey and blue suits.
Guests enjoyed a COVID-friendly cocktail hour, which included individually wrapped charcuterie boxes, paletas, and custom cocktails from the bar. The special Bailey’s flavor paleta was one of several shout-outs to their dog. Angela and Russell love hosting parties, and this wedding reception was no exception! They put a personal touch on so many elements of the day.
Full floor-to-ceiling windows made for a beautiful light and airy reception at this Summit House wedding! And of course lots of natural window light is great for wedding photography too. Party favors included the custom sugar cookies at each guests’ seat. Designs included a mini schnauzer sugar cookie modeled after their dog. How cute are these?
Angela and Russell, who self describe themselves as having two left feet, took dance classes and surprised guests with an incredible first dance! They danced to a song from The Greatest Showman, which is one of their favorite movies.
Angela and Russell stepped outside the reception for beautiful sunset portraits overlooking the hillsides of Orange County. We had incredibly dreamy golden light, so naturally I was in photographer heaven!
Kumquats in a wedding bouquet? Yes please! SWD Floral did an amazing job with Angela’s textured summer bouquet with citrus accents.
Cheers to these two! What a beautiful reception filled with love, family, and celebration!
