Calamigos Ranch offers 4 different but equally charming areas for hosting weddings
Calamigos Ranch has a rich history dating back to 1937 when it was founded by Greek immigrant Grant Gerson as a restaurant and riding stable. The word ‘Calamigos’ is a Chumash Indian word meaning “Come as my brother, come as my friend,” and pays respect to the sacred land upon which Calamigos Ranch was founded. Over the years, the ranch expanded its offerings to include guest cottages and event spaces, becoming a beloved retreat for visitors seeking a tranquil escape from LA city life.
In the 1950s, Calamigos Ranch started hosting weddings and private events, quickly gaining a reputation for its rustic charm and natural beauty. Over the years, it underwent various renovations and expansions, transforming into the sprawling and versatile event venue it is today. This historic 250+ acre property offers breathtaking views of the Santa Monica Mountains from its location nestled within Malibu’s wine country. Throughout its history, the ranch has remained family-owned and operated, with each generation dedicated to preserving its heritage and enhancing the facilities. Today, it’s a highly popular Los Angeles wedding venue that caters to couples looking for an enchanting, romantic wedding experience.

Acres of green meadow and tall redwoods will transport your guests into another world.
